3" Scale Allchin Traction Engine
This is beautifully made quarter scale traction Allchin Traction engine. This is an excellent example of the model maker's art. It was made in South Africa by Stan Nixon and Ron Etter the famous model engineer and author. Our Managing Director obtained it from his friend Ron Etter and shipped it into the UK.       Included in the price is an excellent driving trailer that will hold 4 adults. All the associated documents for the boiler etc are available for examination. A large number have been preserved and operate at steam centres such as Launceston, Bala, Snowdon etc. View Large Image     This is a faithful replica with variations only where scale is not practical. the locomotive is in our standard range with added practical details including water pump, rocking stainless steel grate, extended fireboc, strengthened valve gear etc, etc. These improvements are based on years of regular operation and mean we can offer a durable scale model. The locomotives have been test run on air and the boiler is hydraulically tested. A full set of superb firing and operating tools is included.
